The Vision

Surrender to Remember is an invitation to return — to the part of you that existed before the noise began, before the patterns accumulated, before you forgot what it felt like to be home in your own body.

In the loving embrace of Casa Arkaana, held within the living temple of the Mayan jungle, we weave a sacred container for deep healing, growth and awakening. Working with the Sacred Plants and the Elements, we will harmonise mind, body and spirit — supporting you to release old patterns and step into a renewed sense of clarity and purpose. Each ceremony, each ritual, each moment of integration is an opportunity to cultivate personal growth and reconnect with the wisdom that was always living within you.

A small group of eight. An intimate, lineage-held circle. The jungle as witness.

May all that unfolds here serve as a deep remembering — and a homecoming to your most authentic self.

From Past Plant Medicine Retreats at Casa Arkaana

What guests carry home.

"The thought and care put into this program by the owners and facilitators are top notch. Connection with the land, the food and its caretakers was just what I needed to refind my center. Forever in gratitude."

— Anonymous · Past Guest

"Asdru, Maya, and Marco were so amazing and planned the retreat with such care and intentionality. Just a great container for healing. If you have a calling to do it, don't think too much, just do it."

— Sahil · Past Guest

"Everything is structured better than I imagined. Asdrubal and Maja were very informative since this was my first dieta and first time with mama ayahuasca. It's a very safe location — there was no need to ever worry during my stay. It's been about 3 weeks since I was there last and I receive downloads still from the medicine."

Frequently Asked

Questions guests ask before saying yes.

Who is Surrender to Remember for?

This is not a retreat for the curious. It is for those who feel the call — who are ready to release what no longer serves and remember what has always been true. Whether you are new to plant medicine or have worked with ayahuasca before, the container holds you. The ceremony holder leads each ceremony, Asdru and Maja hold the integration container around it. Safety, lineage, and depth — in that order.

Why only 8 guests?

The depth of the work — three ceremonies, integration, the energetics of the temple — opens fully only in a small, intimate circle. Eight is the upper edge of what allows every story to land, every voice to be heard, and the facilitators to hold each of you with the care this work requires. We have chosen depth over volume on purpose.

Do I need prior experience with ayahuasca?

No. Many guests come for their first dieta. The team walks you through preparation before you arrive (a free preparation course is included), and the container is held with safety and lineage as the priority. If you have worked with the medicine before, you will go deeper. If you have not, you will be received exactly as you are.

What is the lineage?

Each ceremony holder is an experienced curandero who holds the ceremonial container with lineage and care. Asdru and Maja have walked their own path with the medicine for over a decade and live the work daily on the land. Casa Arkaana's relationship to plant medicine is rooted in deep respect for indigenous tradition — we honor it by holding the container with care, not by claiming it as our own.

How do I prepare? Is there a dieta?

Yes. A preparation course (valued at $109) is included free with the retreat — it walks you through dietary preparation, mental preparation, and what to expect. The dieta begins 1–2 weeks before arrival depending on your starting point. We are with you the whole way.

Is this a safe space? What about medical considerations?

Plant medicine is not for everyone. Certain medications (especially SSRIs and MAOIs) are contraindicated and require a transition period before ceremony. We screen every applicant carefully — when you reserve, Asdru will reach out personally to walk through your medical and emotional readiness. Safety is the foundation of the whole container.

What is the temple like?

Our temple (ceremonial space) is widely considered one of the finest in the region. Spacious, energetically clear, purpose-built. Facilitators who have worked in ceremony spaces across the world consistently tell us — something here is different. It is the heart of Casa Arkaana, and the heart of this retreat.

How is the food?

Plant-based, locally sourced, ceremonial nutrition designed to support your body through plant medicine. Our permaculture kitchen incorporates anti-inflammatory ingredients and medicinal plants from our own land. We accommodate dietary intentions and food sensitivities — tell us in advance and we adapt.

How do I get there from the airport?

Casa Arkaana is 90 minutes from Cancún International Airport (CUN) and 60 minutes from Tulum airport (TQO). We can arrange airport transfers — tell us your flight details after booking.

What if I need to cancel?

All payments are non-refundable. However, your spot is fully transferable — either to a different date or to another guest of your choosing. Life happens; we work with you to find a solution.

Is this a safe space for LGBTQ+ guests and people of all backgrounds?

Yes. Casa Arkaana is held with clarity around inclusion. The work welcomes guests across cultures, ages, gender identities, sexualities, and backgrounds. Safety here is not a policy — it is the lived practice of how the whole team shows up.
