Why women's healing work fits here

A container built for the depth of feminine transformation.

Flower bath at the temazcal — women's healing retreat

Sacred Privacy & Containment

One group at a time, always. No strangers on the land — no shared energies, no competing containers. Women in transition need this kind of protection held without question.

Held, Not Managed

Our hosting is attuned to what women in process need — non-intrusive, intuitive, quietly present. Shaped by more than a decade of walking the healing path ourselves.

Temazcal-Cenote Rebirth

A ceremonial journey unique to the Americas — from the ancient heat of the temazcal to the sacred stillness of our cenote-fed pool. Designed specifically for feminine rebirth rites and threshold ceremonies.

Permaculture Kitchen for Women's Physiology

Our kitchen adapts to hormone-support protocols — anti-inflammatory, plant-rich, locally sourced, nutrient-dense. We coordinate with your facilitator on dietary intention before arrival.

Held by Women

A space held by women, for women. Female support practitioners available on request.

Private & Safe

Nestled within a biological corridor. One group only. Always.

Temazcal + Flower Bath

Step out of the temazcal and into a cenote-fed flower bath — an ancient way to seal the work. Heat released. Petals. Water. Stillness.

Cenote-Fed Pool

Sacred underground water — cool, mineral-rich, and alive.

Permaculture Kitchen

Hormone-aware, plant-rich, anti-inflammatory by default.

Full Exclusivity

No shared spaces, no overlapping energies, ever.

We know this road

You hold the circle. We hold everything else.

We know what it means to hold women at their most tender. Grief circles, embodiment intensives, rites of passage — we've been in the room. The hosting here is shaped by that. Present without overstepping. That is rare. Facilitators who've worked here feel it immediately.

One group at a time. The temazcal, the fire circle, the cenote pool, the temple — entirely yours.

Women's ceremony circle at Casa Arkaana

The Women's Circle Space

The temple was designed for circle work — open to the jungle on all sides, fully mosquito-proofed, acoustically alive, energetically held. Facilitators consistently describe it as the most powerful container they've worked in. Moon ceremony, grief ritual, embodiment intensives — the space meets the depth of the work.

Temazcal-Cenote Rebirth

A ritual arc unique to this land — ceremonial heat of the temazcal, then into the sacred stillness of our cenote-fed pool. Women's facilitators who've used this sequence describe it as one of the most potent somatic resets they've witnessed. We co-design the transition with you in advance.

Cenote-fed pool at Casa Arkaana — sacred water for women's retreats

Sacred Cenote Water

Our pool draws directly from the underground cenote network below the property — the same sacred water the Maya considered a portal between worlds. Naturally cool, mineral-rich, and energetically unlike any treated pool. Several facilitators have built their entire water ceremony around it.

Nourishing communal food at Casa Arkaana — permaculture kitchen

Permaculture Kitchen

Anti-inflammatory, plant-rich, and locally sourced — our kitchen adapts to what women's physiology needs at every stage of the retreat arc. Hormone-support protocols, seed cycling, specific exclusions, medicinal plant integration. Tell us what your women need and we build the menu around it.

A Host Who Knows the Work

Casa Arkaana is family-run. You will always know who is on the land, who prepared the food. That closeness is not a feature — it is how this place has always worked.

Private casita accommodation at Casa Arkaana — sanctuary for women

Private Sanctuary Rooms

Eight private rooms set into the jungle — four jungle casitas and four veranda suites, each with its own space for integration, rest, and stillness. The sound of the jungle, the breeze flowing through, the privacy each woman needs between sessions. Soft, considered, completely held.

"I have visited Casa Arkaana many times, facilitating three women's shamanic retreats here. Each time I visit, the centre evolves and I always feel at home — held by the jungle, the nature and the land that welcomes you with open arms. The energy of the Temple is especially powerful."

"The beauty of this secluded area is that we really got to drop into the heart space of the jungle which allowed us to drop into our own heart spaces. The energy of the land they are located on is powerful, sacred and healing."

Frequently Asked

Questions facilitators ask.

Is this space appropriate for vulnerable women's work?

Yes. Casa Arkaana is built for vulnerability — not as a concept, but as a physical reality. One group at a time, nestled within a biological corridor. The hosting here is shaped by more than a decade of walking the healing path — present without intruding. Dozens of women's facilitators have named this the safest container they've worked in.

What does the Temazcal-Cenote Rebirth look like in practice?

The temazcal is a traditional sweat lodge — heat, steam, medicinal plants, and song. After ceremony, participants move directly to our cenote-fed pool. The contrast — heat to cool sacred water — creates a powerful somatic reset that women's facilitators in the region say is unmatched. We co-prepare this arc with you ahead of arrival so it integrates into your retreat design.

Can we do moon ceremony, womb work, grief ritual, or fire circle on the land?

Yes. The temple, fire circle, temazcal, and pool are all available to your group — day and night. We can co-prepare ritual spaces with you before arrival. Maja has extensive experience holding the energetic container for womb, grief, and rites-of-passage work. You tell us the arc; we hold the infrastructure.

Do you have female staff to support women-only groups?

Casa Arkaana is held by women. We can also arrange additional female practitioners from our trusted network: bodywork, sound healing, womb massage, somatic support, and integration guides. These are relationships we've cultivated for years, not referrals from a list.

Can the kitchen support hormone-balance and anti-inflammatory protocols?

Yes. We've supported dietary intentions for women's work — from pre-ceremony preparation to hormone-support nourishment during and after. Our permaculture kitchen is clean, ingredient-transparent, and flexible. Tell us what the physiology of your group requires and we adapt: specific food exclusions, medicinal plants, functional foods, seed cycling support.

Is the pool actually cenote water?

Yes. Our pool draws from the underground cenote network below the property — the same sacred water system the Maya considered a portal between worlds. It's naturally cool, mineral-rich, and energetically distinct from any treated pool. Several facilitators have built their entire cenote immersion ritual around it.

What is the minimum group size, and do you work with small intimate circles?

We hold women's retreats for groups of 8–16, with a preference for smaller, intentional groups when the depth of the work calls for it. Intimate circles of 8–10 are common here and often the most transformative. We discuss your group approach before booking — not to gatekeep, but to ensure our space and yours are genuinely aligned.

How does Maja support the container without overstepping?

Maja reads the room — not from training, but from intuition built over years of holding women in ceremony and transition. She knows when to be visible and when to disappear. When a participant needs grounding, she's reachable. When the circle is in its most sacred moment, she stays back. Facilitators who've worked here describe it as 'held from a distance in the most nourishing way possible.'
