Private Ceremonies
Held by Maja and Asdru at Casa Arkaana. For people who want an intimate experience and the space to focus on their own intention.
For those seeking to reconnect — with themselves, with their natural landscape, with what they have forgotten or lost. The grandmother medicine has been held for centuries as a sacred ally in this work. Through communion with her, we begin to forgive — ourselves, and those we carry with us. We reconnect — to who we are, and to our relations. We learn to let go of what no longer serves us.
This is an invitation to go deep, in a safe and private container.

An Invitation
Who Is This For
This is for people who want to do this work in a quiet, safe, personal setting — not in a group retreat.
Newcomers are welcome. Experienced practitioners are welcome. What matters is your intention and your readiness to do the work.
This is not for people looking for a recreational experience. We encourage everyone who comes here to commit to their integration afterward — that is where the real work begins. And for anyone currently taking medication, please speak with your physician first; some medications interact with these medicines in genuinely risky ways, and any taper period has to happen under your doctor's care.
Integration is the Work
A Note on Integration
The medicine is the doorway. The integration is the work.
Every ceremony closes with an integration circle the morning after. This is where what came up in the experience finds its meaning — where we begin to understand what happened, and then slowly apply it to change the patterns that no longer serve us in our daily lives. The changes are organic, not radical. That is why integration matters as much as the ceremony itself.
After you leave, we touch base seven days later — to check in and see how you are doing while what came through settles into your life. If deeper integration support is right, we can connect you with practitioners we trust.
The Lineage and the Elements
Where the Work Comes From
Maja and Asdru have been learning from Maestro Gilberto Mahua in the Shipibo-Conibo tradition for 11 years — dieting with him and going deeper, with each diet, into the teachings and into the way of the plants. What they have learned in those dietas and ceremonies is what they bring into the ceremonies they hold here.
At Casa Arkaana, we commune with the elements. The land does its own work alongside the medicine.
A Note on Eligibility
A Note on Medical Eligibility
The medicine has medical considerations we will talk through carefully on our call.
If you are currently taking SSRIs, MAOIs, certain heart medications, or have a history of psychosis or seizures, there are wait periods and case-by-case conversations to have first.
Bring all of this to the call. We will hold the conversation gently and honestly.
From Here Forward
How It Works
- Request a conversation. The button below opens our calendar.
- A 30-minute conversation with Asdru. We get to know each other a little — your intention, your readiness, anything in your medical history we should hold carefully.
- We send a health and intention form. A short Google form that closes the loop on the conversation.
- When it feels right on both sides, we send pricing details and dates. Exact pricing for one, two, or up to four people, dates we have open, our quote PDF, and the waiver.
- A deposit confirms your date. 30% non-refundable, via Wise. The preparation guide arrives in your inbox as soon as the deposit clears.

Voices
From People Who Have Sat With Us
A few words from guests who have spent time at Casa Arkaana.
"Words cannot describe how impactful or transformative this experience was. I was a lost soul before arriving to Casa Arkaana — I left with a second chance at life. If you or anyone you know is struggling, this is your sign. Unequivocally the greatest experience of my life. Kindest and most pure souls I've ever met."
"I had the honor of staying at this gorgeously tended, well accommodated, high vibration space for two separate healing retreats. As hosts, Maja and Asdrubal embody what it feels like to be embraced as family. Thank you for this beautiful space to dive deep and come out a luminous spirit."
"The owners Asdrubal and Maja are wonderful people. You will feel the love they put in the place. It is the best place to have a beautiful ceremony and to rest and digest near the pool. Thank you for the wonderful experience and your guidance."
Questions
Questions People Ask
Who is this for?
This is for people who want to do this work in a quiet, personal setting — not in a group retreat. Newcomers are welcome. Experienced practitioners are welcome. What matters is your intention and your readiness to do the work.
How is this different from your group retreats?
Our group retreats are held by independent facilitators who bring their own programs and lineages. These private ceremonies are held by Maja and Asdru directly, in their own practice, for one to four people at a time. The container is more intimate, the schedule is shaped around you, and the facilitation is personal — not programmatic.
Can I bring a partner or a close friend?
Yes. Most private ceremonies we hold are for one or two people who arrive together — partners, family members, close friends. Up to four people who know each other and arrive together is the natural ceiling. The container is built around the relationships you bring.
I have never done this work before — is this still for me?
It can be, yes. We will know better after our conversation. Newcomers are welcome, and a private setting can be the right doorway for someone who would feel exposed in a group. What we look for on the call is intention, readiness, and that you have the space afterward to integrate what arises.
What if I'm on medication?
Many medications require a taper period before ayahuasca, under your prescribing doctor's supervision. Some medications are a hard no. If you are currently taking SSRIs, MAOIs, certain heart medications, or have a history of psychosis or seizures, please bring that to the conversation. We hold the screening with care, not as a wall.
How is the medicine sourced?
Our brews come from within the Shipibo-Conibo lineage we apprentice to — prepared by people we know, in the tradition we have been learning from for 11 years.
What is the integration support after?
Integration is where the work really happens. Every ceremony closes with an integration circle the morning after. After you leave, we touch base seven days later — to see how you are doing while what came through settles into your life. If you want deeper integration support, we can connect you with practitioners we trust.
